History
Convergence CT was founded in multicultural, multilingual Hawaii in 2001, with the goal of developing and connecting technologies to manage and use big data to the benefit of patients, communities, providers, researchers, and life science companies. The company has developed in-depth institutional relationships, one at a time, while simultaneously developing international synergy.
CCT has implemented 27 installations of its clinical data warehouse analytic system, incorporating data from 71 hospitals and 5 medical groups. Experience has confirmed that while each culture, language, or country has its own practices, protocols and legal requirements, questions of health care management—such as diseases, drugs, procedures, populations, and priorities for research—are remarkably similar in developed countries around the world. For example, as CCT designed new products for its U.S. customers related to American Health Care Reform, those same products have provided valuable health insights in other countries, even those with single-payer systems.
The effect of this work is cumulative. As CCT has developed clients, it has enhanced the global value of its work. In 2013, the company adopted the HANA system of the international software giant SAP as its data integration platform. In 2014, SAP gave CCT its annual award for Most Innovative Startup as measured by social impact.
The company’s recent focus is on expansion into the vast China market. The company also has reorganized into component parts, CCT USA, CCT Japan, and CCT Greater China. Central leadership is maintained by a tight-knit Executive Team and streamlined Board of Directors.
