Governor George R. Ariyoshi (Ret.), Chairman Emeritus and Co-Founder
The Hon. George R. Ariyoshi, founding chairman of Convergence CT, now honorary chair and board member, is a major figure in the development of the State of Hawaii. He was the youngest person elected to the legislature in the landmark postwar election of 1954, which was the pivot to statehood in 1959. He is the State’s longest-serving chief executive, serving as governor from 1973 to 1986. He is a mainstay of the East West Center of the University of Hawaii and is active in technology businesses in Hawaii, Silicon Valley and around the Asia Pacific. Mr. Ariyoshi holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a law degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. |
Hemjö Klein, Executive Chairman
Hemjö Klein, recently named CCT Executive Chairman, brings long experience in international investing, transportation, and the management of multinationals. He has served variously as chief executive officer of Lufthansa Airlines Passenger Division; as deputy chairman of Germany’s national railway; and as a member of the executive board of Germany’s largest retailer. Since 2002, he has been CEO of Live Holding AG, an investment and business-strategy firm with offices in Berlin and Los Angeles. |
Bradley Mossman, Secretary
Brad Mossman, longtime vice-president of the company, recently assumed the role of president of CCT Greater China. Mr. Mossman served as Director of the State of Hawaii's Office of Planning and also as Deputy Director of the State Department of Business and Economic Development, playing a key role in strengthening Hawaii’s economy and expanding its technology industries. Working with Mr. Onuma, he was director of Corporate Planning for the high-tech firm Pihana Pacific, Inc. and then ran his own business consulting firm, Strategy Pacifica, Inc. before again joining forces with Mr. Onuma as a co-founder of CCT. He has been involved with CCT at each step of its development. Mr. Mossman holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Hawaii and an MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business. |
Lambert Onuma, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder
Lambert P. Onuma, co-founder of CCT, is chief executive officer. He has a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan. Originally from Hawaii, he worked for twenty-three years in technology industries in the Silicon Valley. He worked at the Digital Equipment Corporation in Palo Alto, then co-founded and led two startup high-tech companies. He returned to Hawaii in 1999 and, in collaboration with Mr. Ariyoshi, founded Pihana Pacific, the first company in the Pacific to provide neutral internet exchange data services. Pihana was merged with Equinix in 2002, at which point Mr. Onuma turned to the development of CCT. In addition to serving as CEO, Mr. Onuma serves as a member of the Board of Directors of AMGA Analytics and Castle Medical Center, which is part of the Adventist West Health System. |
Russell Hata
Russell Hata is the Chairman and CEO of 104-year-old Y. Hata & Co., Limited, a $260 million wholesale foodservice distributor with locations in Honolulu, Hilo and Lihue. He also is the founder of ChefZone, the first foodservice club store in Hawaii. Russell is the grandson of Y. Hata’s founder and namesake, Yoichi, and is credited with the company’s turnaround and expansion. As an entrepreneur, he has delved into various industries including healthcare, technology, importing and consulting. He received his bachelor of Business Administration with a finance degree and a MBA from the University of Hawaii, Manoa Campus.
