Emphasizing the "convergence" of rich clinical data with advanced information technology and analysis, Convergence CT is able to offer a fresh and innovative approach to accelerating medical research, clinical development, and departmental analysis, significantly enhancing and improving the ability of healthcare and life science organizations to use patient-level data for research, clinical trial planning and recruitment, and improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare services, and offers improved efficiencies for patient health data management and research for global markets.

Convergence CT has developed a unique product suite in Convergence CT’s Clinical Data Warehouse, its flagship product. There is no other solution like this on the market today. Its emphasis on patient confidentiality, secure user access, and full audit logging and tracking capabilities, make it highly attractive to a wide spectrum of healthcare organizations.

  A Unique Business Model

Convergence CT’s unique and innovative business model links patient data at healthcare institutions with Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies’ data needs for clinical trial planning and recruitment processes, and research for global markets. Convergence CT offers healthcare research sites, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies this innovative business model that is designed to improve clinical trial patient recruitment through improved site selection, patient screening and re-identification. As a result, Convergence CT can bring additional clinical research opportunities and increased revenues to client healthcare organizations and medical groups. Convergence CT offers this as a result of its unique combination of innovative patient data collection methods and security solutions, BioInformatics services, and solid relationships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology clinical operations groups.

The first component of Convergence CT’s business model is Convergence CT’s Clinical Data Warehouse, a web-centric informatics software application specifically designed to support the healthcare organization’s need to collect and manage confidential patient data in a highly secure and HIPAA-compliant environment. At the same time, the use of this valuable data for research, outcomes analysis, and administrative purposes is facilitated though easy-to-use query tools that are designed for the physicians to use themselves.

This patient data can also be used by Convergence CT’s BioInformatics group (if permission is given by the individual medical group), to develop patient profiles on each healthcare organization's patient population. This data is extremely useful in evaluating upcoming clinical trials. Access to this level of rich patient clinical data gives hospitals a distinct competitive advantage when viewed from the pharmaceutical company, as they evaluate study sites for upcoming clinical trials.

The second component of Convergence CT’s business model is the ability to market each client healthcare organization's research capabilities along with their patient population profile and physician specialties, directly to clinical trial teams. In effect, Convergence CT extends the healthcare organization ’s marketing program by presenting its research capabilities to Pharmaceutical and Biotech companies, globally.

Products and Services

Convergence CT offers a combination of products and services that support the collection, management, and use of healthcare data supporting patient data analysis and medical research. For advanced data collection and management, Convergence CT has developed its innovative Clinical Data Warehouse flagship product which creates and manages patient data repositories for hospitals and clinics. Convergence CT’s Clinical Data Warehouse allows healthcare organizations to have a secure patient data repository that automatically downloads data from one or more data sources, separates Personal Health Information (PHI) and de-identified patient data, encrypts the data, and provides access to this data by researchers and analysts through a secure, web-based management system. Convergence CT’s Clinical Data Warehouse currently supports English and Japanese languages. European language versions will be developed in the future.

Convergence CT’s Clinical Data Warehouse, a suite of products designed to address patient confidentiality, healthcare analysis, and patient recruitment issues that research facilities, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies face when developing new products and conducting clinical trials. The software takes extracted patient health data from a wide variety of healthcare organization systems (for example, pharmacy and admissions systems, and laboratory systems, etc.) consolidating it into a secure, centralized location.

Security features of Convergence CT’s Clinical Data Warehouse protect the identities of patients and physicians, while tracking all activity into and out of the patient record. Not only has this product found its niche within healthcare research, but has also gained considerable interest in the healthcare organizations' IT departments as a way of controlling and protecting the health information of its patients.

Convergence CT’s Clinical Data Warehouse supports multiple tasks across the institution, including clinical research, administrative analysis, management decision-making, and education. For clinical research, Convergence CT’s Clinical Data Warehouse is designed to enhance research by providing clinicians and researchers with quick and efficient access to complete patient data in a central location. Only authorized users are permitted access to the data through a standard Web browser.

This application allows users to search for single patients or entire patient populations based on specific clinical criteria. The resulting patient datasets are downloaded to the users' personal workstations for further analysis.

Convergence CT also offers data management and data analysis services to Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies and other healthcare organizations. Convergence CT's experience in working with large databases of detailed patient-level data, including lab results and medication orders (both brand and generic named medications), exhibits a significant level of expertise in dealing with the organization and analysis of this level of data, expertise that is invaluable to Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and other healthcare organizations.
